If;

A x 4 = E

B / 4 = E

C + 4 = E

D – 4 = E

A + B + C + D = 100

Then;

E = ?

We have the following information;
A x 4 = E
B / 4 = E
C + 4 = E
D – 4 = E
A + B + C + D = 100

Let\’s write the first 4 equations in terms of E.

A = E/4
B = 4E
C = E – 4
D = E + 4

Let\’s put this value in A + B + C + D = 100; we get,

E/4 + 4E +(E – 4) + (E + 4) = 100;

Solving this euqations;

E/4 + 4E + E – 4 + E + 4 =100

E/4 + 6E = 100

(E + 24E)/4 = 100

25E = 4 x 100

E = 4 x 4

Therefore we get the value of E as;

E = 16
