Answer:

you can substitute the ball with A and the box with B and rewrite the equations as;

A + B = 100

A – B = 80

Adding both equations we get;

2A = 180

Therefore A = 90.

Substituting value of A in 1st equation we get;

90 + B = 100

Therefore; B = 10

A x B = 90 x 10 = 900
