In the series, the numbers are doubled and then added with the number 2 which is increased by 2 each time.
So the sequence is as follows;
Next number after 9 = 9 x 2 + 2 = 18 + 2 = 20;
Next number after 20 = 20 x 2 + 2 + 2 = 40 + 4 = 44;
So the missing number would be;
Next number after 44 = 44 x 2 + 4 + 2 = 88 + 6 = 94
Let’s check if that is the correct answer by seeing if it results in the last number;
Next number after 94 = 94 x 2 + 6 + 2 = 188 + 8 = 196 = equal to last number in the sequence.
Hence;
Answer = 94
